Neeraj Pandey who has made critically acclaimed films like Baby, Special 26 and A Wednesday, this time, has brought the story of India's most successful cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Now let's see what Neeraj has brought in this biopic film on Dhoni. Story : The story of the film starts from Ranchi where Mahi (Mahendra Singh Dhoni) was born to Pan Singh Dhoni (Anupam Kher) and then during school time he got interested in playing cricket. But the family of Dhoni wants that Dhoni gets a government job in railways and this happens also. During the time of ticket collector job Dhoni gets an offer of playing cricket in India's cricket team and that time Dhoni decide to play cricket. Then the journey of Ranchi to Delhi and Dhoni's girlfriend Priyanka Jha (Disha Patani) phase started. Then the story of the film takes lots of turning points and in the last the film end with the world cup 2011 winning moments. Script : The script of the film is good and Neeraj Pandey has focused on the main issues what he has to show in the film. The script of the film has a deal with all aspects related to Dhoni's life like his interest in cricket, how he left the job of railways, then what happened with his love life and what are the controversies of Dhoni in the dressing room. Performances : Sushant Singh Rajput has just killed it throughout his performance in the film you will forget that he is Sushant Singh Rajput who is playing the lead role of Dhoni after when he entered in the frame. He is good in every aspect from teenage to captain Dhoni. Anupam Kher is again proved that he has a good partnership with Neeraj Pandey. Other actors like Disha Patani, Kiara Advani, Bhumika Chawla, Rajesh Sharma, Kumud Mishra all are perfect in their roles. Especially mentioned about Henry Tangri who has played the brilliant character of Yuvraj Singh. Weakness : The weakness of the film is its first half which is very lengthy and it can be edited through cut some scenes which are unnecessary in the film. Music : The music of the film will go with the script and you will connect with it throughout the film. However, the main focus of the film is a story, not its music. Why to Watch : The film is a story of a famous cricketer and cricket fans can watch the film to get inspire from Dhoni's spirit. For Dhoni's fans, this is totally a treat to watch the film.
