The Blockbuster movie of its time, ‘Border’ completed its 20 years and to celebrate the anniversary day, the team and the cast of JP Dutta's 1997 blockbuster joined at a party thrown by the filmmaker. They all together celebrated the 20th anniversary by cutting grenade shape cake and sharing their experiences while shooting for the movie. The movie ‘Border’ was inspired by real life events that took place during the Battle of Longewala, during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. The cast and crew of the war-drama, including Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Puneet Issar and Pooja Bhatt, joined together to celebrate 20 years since the film first hit screens on June 13, 1997. Jackie made a solo appearance at the event whereas  Suniel was accompanied by wife Mana, actress-daughter Athiya and son Ahaan. The movie had a chartbuster music, and its  Music composer Anu Malik too turned up with his family. Lyricist Javed Akhtar along with singers of the famous songs of the movie Roop Kumar Rathod and Alka Yagnik also made sure to be present at the party, while Abhishek Bachchan, who got to work with the director in his Bollywood debut, ‘Refugee’ was also seen at the event. The actors and makers of the movie shared heartwarming behind-the-scenes experience, some footage from the movies were also seen to reminisce the time they spent shooting the film. At the event Director, JP Dutta also announced his upcoming project, ‘Paltan’. And later he shared its first look poster too.
