In Dinesh Vijaan's forthcoming movie Raabta, National Award winning actor Rajkummar Rao will be seen playing a 324-year old character. Trailer of the movie released this week and showed a mysterious-looking old-guy at the end of the trailer, Rajkummar Rao is that old guy.
It wasn't an easy task for the team to pick that look for such an old character, Vijaan and Rao rejected 16 different looks, over a period of two days, before finalising the look we can see in the trailers. The team consisted of members from Los Angeles and Zuby Johal of Studio Avtar.
Director-Producer Dinesh Vijaan shared his experience on the whole process and patted the Citylights-famed actor for being patient. He said, "Rajkummar was patient enough to sit through this tedious work. I think the prosthetic look, making him unrecognisable, made him excited about this role."
Rajkummar, appreciated by his directors as a method actor, went five-six hours of prosthetic daily to bring the best out of his character. He worked on his voice module, physique and wore accessories including Tattoos to get into the character.
"Prosthetic took five six hours daily, making me sweat inside the heavy makeup,' said the 'Trapped' actor. "It took a lot of patience out of me."
Rajkummar will be sharing the screen with Sushant Singh Rajput, Kriti Sanon, and Jim Sarbh in titular role in this much-anticipated movie. Such has been the impact of its trailer, that it has attracted 2.35 crores viewers on YouTube in just three days since being uploaded. The movie is scheduled to release on June 9.
