Remakes, be it of Hollywood or Regional movies, sometimes work wonder at cinemas, like in the case of ‘Shubh Mangal Savdhaan’ and sometimes they don't like in the case of ‘Chef’. So looking at the trend another Tamil movie is all set ot be remade.
For all those who have watched and liked Tamil movie ‘Jigarthanda’ will be excited to know that it has been picked up by Bollywood to be remade. A quirky black comedy, directed by the talented Karthik Subbaraj, the movie starred Siddharth, Bobby Simha and Lakshmi Menon in the lead.
As per the reports in a leading tabloid, Ajay Devgn has picked up the remake rights of the movie for Bollywood. However he won’t play the lead in the movie, but, Farhan Akhtar and Sanjay Dutt. Farhan Akhtar will take up Siddharth’s role from the original as an ambitious young director, and Sanjay Dutt will get into Bobby Simha's shoes as a ruthless gangster with acting ambitions.
It is also said that Nishikant Kamat, who earlier did the remake of Malayalam movie ‘Drishyam’ for Ajay Devgn would be handling this remake too.
Let us wait and watch if this one too works and turns out to as dynamic as ‘Drishyam’ or not.
