Bollywood is not having a great time right now, this year big films like ‘Tubelight’, ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ and ‘Jagga Jasoos’ fell flat at the Box Office. However, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ did a great business at the Box Office and saved the day after that Ajay Devgn’s ‘Baadshaho’ is also doing decent business and it set to have a lengthy run in the theatres. The movie was released last week and till now it has crossed more than 45 crores.
Well, after the unsuccessful run of Salman Khan’s ‘Tubelight’ at the Box Office, Salman returned the money back to the distributors of the movie. Same was speculated with Shah Rukh Khan after ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ but that didn’t happen. Talking about the same Ajay Devgn said that it’s wrong to refund the money to the distributors.
“When you buy a film for 10 crores, you are fully aware of it and it’s your job to make sure the film gets a good release. It’s right that we can’t say which film will do good or which will do bad, but you bought the film and you are responsible for that as much as we”, he said.
He also explained that there are two ways to do so, first is MG, which is minimum guarantee and Advance. In the case of Advance, if the distributor buys a film with a certain amount of money and if the film recovers that money, then it’s OK but if it doesn’t, the producers have to pay the money back to the distributors. But in the case of MG, the distributors can’t ask back the money.
Well, Ajay’s film has never seen this thing as of now and as the things are going it will not see anytime soon. He will be next seen in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Golmaal Again’, which will release this Diwali.
