Hansal Mehta is such a director whose work speak and this he proved with his National Award Winning film Shahid. Once Again Hansal Mehta has made a film on real life. Film Aligarh is based on real incident. This film has been screened in Mumbai Film Festival, Busaan Film Festival and in London Film Program, this film was appreciated alot. Will this film be life other films of Hansal Mehta. Story : This story is of Professor of S.R Siras (Manoj Bajpai) who used to teach in Aligarh Muslim University. In 2010, professor was suspended for making intimacy with a male in the university and Delhi journalist Deepu Sebastian (Rajkumar Rao) investigated on this issue. Slowly and gradually story moves forward. Allahabad High Court founds professor not guilty and ask him to teach again in that university. Script : Story of the film is written by Apurva Asrani, who has edited the films like Satya and Shahid. Story is quite simple but it conveys great message. Shooting of Aligarh and getting it on screens is appreciable. Loneliness of Professor, Relation of Professor with journalist and Apurva has showed the story very amazingly. Acting : Manoj Bajpai has done tremendous acting in the film and can show the character in each and every frame very easily. Professor who loved music, Manoj has completed all the points of the professor via acting. Rajkumar Rao as Journalist has done amazing work, Ashish Vidyarthi has done his part brilliantly. Music : Two songs of Lata Mangeshkar are used in the film, which goes with the story and back ground score is nice. Why to Watch : If you love watching films based on real life incidence, then this film is for you.
