On 25th when self-proclaimed Godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim, the chief of Dera Sacha Sauda was found guilty for the rape charges, there was a rampage in Haryana and Chandigarh. Which resulted in a major loss of the movie maker’s whose movies were released that day.
And then with the announcement of Sec144 in the neighbouring cities of Delhi the people opted to be at home which in turn incurred losses to the movies, as the Box Office collection majorly dipped in North region.
Now coming Friday is going to be another big Friday with two major releases, ‘Baadshaho’ and ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ and looking at the conditions and chaos happening in the North part of India the moviemakers are planning to shift the release date of their movies.
Though there is no official confirmation of it as yet, according to unofficial sources, both the big movies ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ and ‘Baadshaho’ are considering postponing their release dates. Sources said that both the movies are expected to open big considering the star cast and storyline. Where one of them is Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar starrer, other is Milan Luthria directed with Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Vidyut Jhamwal. Both films are potential hits, and the producers don’t want to jeopardise their Box Office prospects. And considering Punjab and Haryana to be the major distribution sectors, the issue can’t be overlooked.
Today the sentences for the Gurmeet Ram Rahim will be declared then, let us see how the makers would decide to release their movies in accordance with the situation.
