My Birthday Song collects 0.40 Cr on the day 1 at the box office, say the latest reports. The movie got released on 19th of Jan 2018.
The Box Office Collection of the first couple of days shows that the psycho-thriller to have failed, though it is not the right time to give the movie a verdict as a hit or flop, to pull crowds to the theatres. The movie has been receiving mixed reviews from the audience and the critics. This might also affect the collection in the coming weeks.
Written and directed by Samir Soni, My Birthday Song revolves around the life of a guilt-ridden businessman and a birthday party that plays a crucial part in the movie. Sanjay Suri appears in the title role as businessman Rajeev.
Star cast of the movie includes Nora Fatehi, Ayaz Khan, Zenia Starr, and Pitobash among others in major roles. Sanjay Suri and Samir Soni jointly produce the film under the banner Kahwa Entertainment.
The movie which falls under the psychological thriller genre speaks of a nightmare. Rajeev, on his birthday party, is in a mood to enjoy his life with another girl. He sees her dead on the next day and he opens his eyes to see that it was just a nightmare. But on the following day, everything happens as he saw in the nightmare.
The movie, made at a small budget of approximately INR.5 crores, got released worldwide on 19 January 2018, but only on limited screens. This (the fewer screens) also affected the box office collection. Still, considering the low budget, the movie is likely to earn some profit over time. Till date, history says so.
