The Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur starer flick Airlift has become the first 100 crore club movie of this year in Bollywood. Airlift which crossed 100 crore mark on Sunday i.e. 10th day box office collection was 8.26 crores and which made total collection to 102.76 crores. Not only this the film also has become no. 1 film in Bollywood through IMDB ratings, which are most trust able ratings in film industry terms.
A Raja Krishan Menon directed this film started very well at the box office despite clashing with the third adult comedy sequel film Kya Kool Hai Hum 3. The film not only performed well in its first week but also in its second week perhaps there is three films are still running in the theaters Mastizaade and Saala Khadoos are new movies of this week. This film also become the fourth Akshay Kumar starer flick which crosses 100 crore club after Rowdy Rathore, Housefull 2 and Holiday.
The film also performing well in the overseas as the box office collection report saying the film has earned 26.53 crores in its first week at overseas. This is huge success for Akshay Kumar and his filmography. The film received good reviews and applauds by the critics and the audience. The film made in the budget of 28 crores and the rights of the film sold in 65 crores which is good.
