This week we will have two movies to release at the Box Office, first Irrfan Khan and Parvathy starrer ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ and Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Kharbanda’s ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’. Now, both are rom-coms but extremely different than each other, ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ is more adventurous, while ‘Shadi Mein Zaroor Aana’ is a bit serious. Both the movies have phenomenal actors in Irrfan Khan and Rajkummar Rao, so it might be a little difficult for the audience to choose a movie this week.
Last week, Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha starrer ‘Ittefaq’ released and impressed the audience, it is still running strong at the Box Office. Well, talking about this week’s release, it’s hard to predict anything right now; it all depends on the screens and the reviews. We predict that Irrfan’s ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ will have the upper hand as it will have the wider release and it looks more interesting than ‘Shadi Mein Zaroor Aana’.
‘Qarib Qarbi Singlle’ will earn around Approx 1 crore on the first day, but the numbers will go up on Saturday and Sunday, and we predict that it will earn Approx. 1-1.5 crores on Saturday and 2-2.5 on Sunday, which is quite good. Considering the fact that Hollywood’s ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ and ‘Ittefaq’ is still running it will affect the business of both the films.
‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’, on the other hand, is expected to earn around 80 lakhs on the first day, 1 crore on the second and 1.5-2 crores on Sunday; now, we don’t know what exactly is going to happen this week at the Box Office, it all depends on the reviews of the movie.
Both Rajkummar and Irrfan had a great year in 2017, Irrfan gave his biggest hit in ‘Hindi Medium’, while Rajkummar became a star with his performances in ‘Newton’, ‘Trapped’ and ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’.
