Megastar Rajinikanth's film Kabali has done 40 crores business on its opening day and film has broken the records of Salman Khan starring Sultan and other movies like Dhoom 3. If we talk about superstar Salman Khan's movie Sultan then the movie minted 36.54 crores on its opening day and Shahrukh Khan's film Chennai Express has done 33.12 crores business on its opening day.
On the other hand if we talk about Shahrukh Khan's Happy New Year then this film did tremendous business on its opening day and minted 44.97 crores. In this Kabali is behind Happy new Year. Salman Khan's most highest opening movie is Prem Ratan Dhan Payo which collected 40.35 crores in its opening day, in this also Kabali gets behind.
A trade analyst said, Salman Khan's film Sultan did 36.50 crores business on domestic box office and on the same hand Kabali did 40 crores business. Despite mixed reviews Kabali is more successful because it was dubbed in three languages. On the other hand this film is performing very good in overseas also.
Cinegalalxy who have bought the theatrical rights of the film for America said, In north America this is a best opening movie for any of Indian film. The film's premiere shows have done 20 Lakhs dolor earning which includes both Tamil and Telugu. Kabali has released on 500 screens in North America and Canada.
The trade analyst stated that the film has broken the record of Ajith Kumar starring movie Vedalam which minted 15 crores on its opening day. Trade analyst Trinath said, In Tamil Nadu film Kabali has minted 21.50 crores and the film will earn more as it has got entertainment tax free.
Radhika Apte, Kishore, Dinesh, Dhanshika, Klearashan and Winston Chaw have played leading roles in the film alongside Rajinikanth. Let me tell you that Rajinikanth's film has a crazy fan following in south as the companies in Chennai and Bangalore have given a Kabali release holiday and also given Kabali tickets to them.
The first show of the film in many theaters in Chennai got started in early morning of 3 AM. For that many of people went to the theaters to watch the film. Rajinikanth have worked in many Bollywood movies but from last some years he has made distance from Bollywood movies.
The shows were already booked for the film in upcoming three or four days in Chennai and many places. Only in Kerala this film was released on 306 screens and on 275 screens in Mumbai. Rajinikanth who is 65 years old now is one of them actors in world whose magic is still same for fans.
