Box office: the punch of Akshay-Sidharth’s “Brothers” continued through the first week

Akshay Sidharth’s movie has been continuously gaining great box office collection. In 8 days the film has collected over 75 crore rupees. On the second Friday the film earned around 2 crore. While in the first three days the movie collected 51 crore, it was successful in collecting 24 crore in the three days. In the year 2015, this movie of Akshay and Sidharth has become the second movie with highest collection in 7 days. The first position has been taken by Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Along with Brothers there is a second movie ABCD 2 that has done a business of 72 crore. Whereas Kangana’s film, “Tanu Weds Manu 2” has earned 71 crore. For Akshay “Brothers” is the highest opening film.His previous movies “Gabbar is back” has collected 60 crore while “Baby” has collected 64 crore. Although the highest earning film of Akshay on the weekend was “Rowdy Rathore” which has done a business of 48 crore. His movies Baby had collected 36 crore on the weekend while “Rowdy Rathore” has successfully collected 29 crore in just two days. On the other hand Sidharth’s movie “Ek Villain” on the first 3 days has collected 50.7 crore. On the first day “Brothers” had done a collection of 15.20 crore. In this regard it is the second movie of the year with this much opening. Bjarangi Bhaijaan is on the first place in this list. Also released in the year 2012, Rowdy Rathore has collected 15.01 crore on its first day. For Sidharth this is his second movie with highest earning. His movie “Ek Villain” has collected 16.72 crore on the first day. Let us tell you that Brothers was released on 14 August. Both these actors for the first time has worked in the movie and both are appreciated a lot. In this movie Jacqueline Fernandez and Jackie Shroff are also in lead roles. It is the remake of Hollywood movie “Warrior” that was released in the year 2011. The director of the movie Karan Malhotra in the past have made successful movie like Agneepath.
