Anticipation around 'Brahmastra' is skyrocketing, all thanks to impressive casts. Karan Johar's most anticipated project has been making the headlines for a very long time. Lots of things have been spoken and written about the film's title. Initially, it was believed that the title was 'Dragon'. But ace producer announced the title of the film as 'Brahmastra' recently.
'Brahmastra' is an epic adventure trilogy, which features Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Ali Bhatt in the lead roles. The movie will be directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Dharma Productions. The official announcement of the film was made by filmmaker Karan Johar.
According to the reports in the leading entertainment media, the movie is expected to have a budget of more than Rs. 150 Crore. Talking about the same, co-producer Namit Malhotra said that the movie will be shot to match Hollywood standards. They are looking to move over rom-com and drama to create something epic. He further said that Indian cinema is also gradually looking to match Hollywood standards.
The good news for moviegoers is that 'Brahmastra' will be released in the 3D format. The movie will be shot in regular format and will be converted into the 3D format in the post-production. The visual effects will be one of the highlights of the film.
Talking about the film, Malhotra further added that the film will move from establishing the characters to the central character achieving the goal. The movie is targeted towards everyone from the kids to the old people. The movie also doesn't have any similarities to other superhero films made in Bollywood. As the title suggests, the movie is deep-rooted in our cultural heritage.
Karan Johar is also looking to go big with the film, as he understands that superhero film costs more. He has directed his team not to worry about the budget.
'Brahmastra' is scheduled to release on 15th August 2019.
