Over the last few weeks, rumors surrounding Nikhil Advani's movie 'Bazaar' have been far away too many. The latest is that co-producer Ekta Kapoor has stepped out of the project that reportedly stars Saif Ali Khan, leaving him in a weave. Nikhil's team has now explained that there is no bad blood between him and Ekta. Madhu Bhojwani, producer and spokesperson for Nikhil's Emmay Entertainments said that 'We were improving the script in discussion with Balaji (Ekta's production house). We had a choice of the movie to go solo. At this position, we have chosen to do it [the film] individually. There's certainly no difference of opinion. There are mutual appreciation and great respect between us. Balaji CEO Sameer Nair and I have been chuckling over the trade rumors suggesting a place. They remain to be our well-wishers,'
Explaining the purpose behind Balaji's exit, she says, 'It's a business decision. The pre-production work is ahead. We start rolling in May and wrap up the movie in three months. We have assembled the cast and will address an announcement shortly. If at a later plane, we feel the expenses are way too high for us to manage, we will consider bringing another company on board." Over a year ago, Ekta Kapoor and Nikhil Advani had teamed up for a film starring Saif Ali Khan. Titled Baazar, it was assumed to be directed by Advani. Now, we hear, Ekta has decided to pull out of the design. There is a talk of financial issues. Advani, however, is going forward as a producer with one of his assistants as director.
Filmmaker Nikkhil Advani has been a hands-on operation for next movie titled as 'Bazaar'. The producer-director first requested Hrithik Roshan to play the lead, but Hrithik opted out, and Nikkhil eventually approached Akshay Kumar to play the role. However, with Akshay turning down the proposal, Nikkhil has now approached Saif Ali Khan with the script, and rumor plants are abuzz that Saif has given his acceptance. The movie, we hear, was supposed to be delayed, but is back on track as Saif walked in. As reported by a leading daily, 'Bazaar' is a movie whose story revolves around the Indian stock market and is inspired by the Leonardo DiCaprio starrer movie 'Wolf Of The Wall Street'. According to the daily, Saif has liked the part of the uber modern, stylish entrepreneur with gray tones. The movie will soon go on platforms by August and will be shot in a start-to-finish format. Late artist Vinod Mehra's son Rohan is said to be making his big Bollywood debut through this movie.
Filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput have been looking ahead to collaborating on another venture. Kapoor launched the actor in Kai Po Che! (2013). Now, gossip suggests Ekta Kapoor will carry the duo together for her production titled Kedar Nath. If sources close to Kapoor are to be believed, an announcement can be anticipated shortly.
