Chief of Censor Board Pahlaj Nihalani said that Upcoming film 'The Angry Bird' has been given U/A certificate, which is correct, by seeing it's subject.
Nihalani said, 'The animated movie was rated PG(parental guidance) internationally and they have certified the India release as U/A without any shot cuts'
Before this The Jungle Book was also given U/A Certificate, because this was too scary for kids. Nihalani said, 'Film 'The Angry Bird' has been certificate earlier only. If the makers had any objection they would've gone to the revising committee. They also know which is the correct certificate for the film.'
He said, 'First audience should watch the film and they should discuss on this matter that certificate should be given or not. Jumping to conclusions even before the film is out is unfair. Nihalani said that there should be no shout, because a kid will only see the film with the adult. He said, 'Naturally, if a ten-year-old kid is watching the film, chances are in most cases he or she will not be watching it alone. They will be accompanied by some adult. So I don't know what the fuss is about.'
