Plot - The story of the 'Daddy' movie is a biopic based on the life of gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli. Arun Gawil worked at a Textile mill. From the 1970s to the late 1980s, Mumbai's textile mill industry witnessed mass strikes and eventual lock-outs. As a result, many young adults including Gawil went unemployed. Then he joined a gang run by Rama Naik. After Rama Naik got killed in an encounter Arun Gawil took over the gang and start operating it from his residence. Later he went on to become a political leader and formed Akhil Bharatiya Sena Party.
