Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon starrer Raabta has been making right kinds of noise among movie goers. The buzz around the movie is huge, all thanks to the amazing trailer. We were a delight to watch the train sequence of the movie, where we can see the lead pair of the movie recreating the iconic train scene of 1995 blockbuster DDLG.
If you have any doubt, the scene we are talking about is the train scene of "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. In Raabta, we saw Sushant Singh Rajput boarding the train while Kriti Sanon can be seen running towards him in slow motion.
In Dinesh Vijan directed Raabta, there was a scene filmed at a train station. The actress Kriti Sanon had an idea of recreating the iconic scene from DDLG and she was finally able to convince the director of the same. The interesting part of the story is that the scene, which was filmed as an optional shot was finally able to make the final cut.
Talking about the same, leading lady of Raabta, Kriti Sanon said in a statement, “Raabta' being a young love story and doing a little tribute to the most loved love story of Bollywood just seemed so apt. We did it for our own mad enjoyment and I can't believe it has made its way into the film.”
Talking about the same, director Dinesh Vijan said, “it was an impromptu thing”. He further added, “The scene needed to underline Kriti's character who is dying to get one last glimpse of her lover who is leaving her. Looking back, I'm glad we shot an option of the train pulling out and Kriti running alongside it, DDLJ style. I guess it could be a humble little bow to one of our most epic love stories,”
“Raabta” is a romantic comedy drama film starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. The movie is scheduled to release on 9th June 2017.
