For all the Deepika Padukone fans, who have been wondering about the other projects actress will be doing post her period drama ‘Padmavati’, here is some good news for you.
The actress along with her ‘Piku’ co-star Irrfan Khan will be working on another period drama which would be based on Mumbai’s Mafia and will be ready for release in October 2018. The movie will be based on the story of ‘Femme Fatale’, which is a part of S Hussain Zaidi’s novel, ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’.
In the movie, Deepika Padukone is going to portray the role of female don Rahima Khan who is also referred as Sapna Didi, who made a plan to kill the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim as he killed her Husband. But, the don got a clue of Rahima’s scheme and he killed her before she could take her revenge.
The movie will be produced by Vishal Bharadwaj in association with KriArj Entertainment and will be directed by a new director Honey Trehan. Filmmaker, Vishal Bharadwaj is known for his love for literature and then turning them into a moving picture and this time again he has come up with an interesting story to tell.
The news says that Deepika was left wowed by the script and will be starting to shoot for it after she wraps up Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’.
