Alia Bhatt has proved her worth as an actor with the movies like ‘Udta Punjab’ and ‘Dear Zindagi’. After her debut in 2012, she is finally getting recognition in the Bollywood. She is currently preparing for her role in Meghna Gulzar’s next movie ‘Raazi’, where she will play the role of a Kashmiri woman.
The movie is the adaptation of Harinder Sikka’s best-selling novel ‘Calling Sehmat’. In an interview, Alia Bhatt said that she is learning how to drive a jeep, which will be very important for the movie. “It is based on the true story, so I have to get the real facts. I am reading the scripts multiple times. I want to get in the skin of that character,” Alia said.
She also revealed that it is one of the most challenging roles she has done. “Meghna and I often sit together to discuss the character, and try to understand character’s psyche,” she said. When she was asked about her past collaborations with big stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Shahid Kapoor, she responded by saying, “I find it ridicules when they turn off the roles because of their co-stars. I mean we are here to act, and good acting is, in turn, makes the movie good. I am glad that I am working with Vicky, he is fantastic, and clearly, he is a better actor than me. I was so impressed with him when I saw his movie‘Massan’.”
She also said that she doesn’t need big stars, all she needs is a good script, we can’t differentiate between the movies. It doesn’t matter how the film turns out at the Box Office, what people will remember is how the film was. And if I do a good film, they will remember me, they won’t talk that I came with a Superstar in the movie or not.
