Actor Farhan Akhtar and filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor made their mainstream Bollywood debut in 2008, with the movie ‘Rock On’, the movie was a critical darling and also won National Award. Everyone wanted to see them collaborate again for the second part of the movie but that didn’t happen, instead, Abhishek took the legal action against the producers to get the writing credit and after that their relationship kind of faded. But now we are hearing that Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani want Abhishek to direct their next film. As per the rumours, Farhan and team approached Abhishek to direct a film, which is written by his father Javed Akhtar. As of now, not much is known about the film. Abhishek has not yet given a nod but he is excited to work on the film according to the report. Now, we all know that they make a great team together and ‘Rock On’ is the example of that. Abhishek is busy with his next directorial film ‘Kedarnath’, which stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan in the lead role. The movie is the fictional story of the backdrop of 2013 North India flood. The shooting of the movie has already started and will release in June next year. Farhan, on the other hand, is busy with the promotions of his upcoming movie ‘Lucknow Central’, which also stars Diana Penty, Gippy Grewal, Deepak Dobriyal, Rajesh Sharma, Innamulhaq, Ronit Roy and Ravi Kishen. We don’t know when Abhishek and Farhan will come for this project but it would be interesting to see them again. After ‘Rock On’, both of them had a great career, Farhan had some amazing performances in ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ and ‘Wazir’, while Abhishek directed films like ‘Kai Po Che’ and ‘Fitoor’.
