As we know, Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor will be seen together in the movie ‘Padman’, next year. The actors have worked together before in ‘Thank You’ in the year 2011, now after seven long years they will come together again; the movie also stars Radhika Apte, who will be seen as Akshay’s wife in the movie, this will be their first collaboration. The shooting of the movie is almost done, only the New York schedule is left, which will be done by this month. Well, the makers have revealed the first look of Akshay and Sonam from the movie. We can see them sitting in the bullock cart, this movie sets in the rural India, which is great. Akshay’s previous movie ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ also was the story of rural India and it worked beautifully at the Box Office. Akshay is doing socially relevant movies as of late, and this is also that kind of film. Now, it was announced a few weeks ago that the movie will release on the same day of ‘2.0’, which is 26^th January 2018, which also stars Akshay Kumar. However, Akshay made it clear that he would not release ‘Padman’ if ‘2.0’ will release on that day and as we know, the date of ‘2.0’ is pushed, ‘Padman’ is ready to release on the Republic Day. A source close to ‘2.0’ revealed that the VFX work is taking time, and they would not be able to release the movie on Republic Day. The rumoured release date of ‘2.0’ is April but we don’t know anything right now. Akshay has few more movies in his hand, as usual, after ‘Padman’ and ‘2.0’, he will be seen in ‘Gold’, ‘Kesari’ and ‘Houseful 4’.
