Interestingly, Gippy Grewal has now decided to re-release his brilliant Punjabi movie 'Ardaas Karaan' in the country New Zealand on 25 June, 2020. Following the coronavirus lockdown, cinema halls and theatres had been shut down all across the world. Now that relaxations have been made, authorities of New Zealand have finally decided to open the cinema halls in order to ensure normal functioning in the country. Ardaas Karaan had hit the theatres back on 19 July, 2019. The Punjabi movie last year achieved history by becoming the first ever highest-grossing movie of all times.
Ardaas Karaan has still been successfully running all across the world and is set to run in New Zealand cinema in the coming week. The poster also mentions details of the film's release that says 'Ardaas Karaan in New Zealand. Cinemas opening 25th June 2020'. Directed by Gippy Grewal himself, the social drama movie Ardaas Karaan happens to be a sequel to the 2016 movie Ardaas. With Gippy Grewal himself in the lead role, the movie also features Gurpreet Ghuggi, Meher Vij, Japji Khaira, Sapna Pabbi and Yograj Singh. The movie revolves around social causes regarding life and the generation gap today. Ardaas Karaan garnered widespread popularity and fame in a matter of few months of its release. The success and popularity that the movie gained overseas have brought in excessive pride and delight among the Punjabi industry.
