A few weeks ago, we came to know that the veteran actor Govinda will do a cameo in Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Jagga Jasoos’. After his first look from the movie was revealed, everyone got excited to see him in the film, but now the news is coming that the actors part has been removed from the movie.
The director Anurag Basu recently revealed that Govinda will not be a part of the movie which the actor didn’t like, and now it is creating a controversy. Govinda showed his disappointment and anger toward the makers with the series of tweets.
He wrote, “I completely respect Kapoor family and did the film because Ranbir Kapoor is my senior’s son. I was sick but still travelled all the way to South Africa for the shoot; I didn’t charge a signing amount and signed no contract. I was even told that I will get the script. But I did my job as an actor and if the director is not happy with it, I don’t blame him, it’s his choice. But it is very disappointing.”
Well, clearly, the actor is not happy with Anurag’s call of removing his cameo from the movie. His last feature film ‘Happy Ending’ was in 2014 and watching him sharing the screen space with young actors like Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in ‘Jagga Jasoos’ would have been good, but unfortunately, we won’t be able to see him in the movie.
Govinda was set to do the role of Ranbir Kapoor’s foster dad. The movie will release on 14th July.
