'Mogambo Khush Hua' as soon as you hear this dialogue from the film Mr India, then you start thinking about Amrish Puri. This dangerous villain is no more today, today if he would have been alive, then he would be of 84 years.
Born on 22 June, 1932 in Lahore, Punjab, Amrish Puri left this world n 12 January, 2005 due to brain hemorrhage . He died in Mumbai. When he died then in many papers there were headlines Mogambo Khamosh Hua.
Amrish Puri's two brother, Madan Puri adn Chaman Puri were famous in the field of acting. However, for Amrish, journey was not easy, it is said that, he was failed in screen test, then he started working in Employees State Insurance Corporation.
Very less people know that Amrish Puri stared is career with Marathi Film. His first role was Shantata! Court Chalu Aahe, he played blind in the film, who sings song in railway compartments.
AMrish got his first role in Bollywood in the age of 39, in the film Reshma aur Shera, he played the character of Rehmat Khan.
Amrish Puri was fond of hats, he has more than 200 hats in his collection.
