JP Dutta, who is known for his iconic war films, unveiled the first poster for his next war drama, ‘Paltan’. He stated that this subject is very close to his heart and wanted to make a film for a long time.
“I wanted to tell this story for a long time. It’s time to tell another part of our history of our country and salute our real heroes. ‘Paltan’ is very close to my heart, and I hope people will like it,” said Dutta.
The poster of the movie has the tagline ‘Brother to my right. Brother to my left. Together we stand. Together we fight.' It also has several dog tags with names of officers inscribed on them at the top of the poster; it is an impressive and interesting way to introduce. The casting of the movie is on the way and will soon be announced.
Some of the popular war films of JP Dutta are, ‘Border’, ‘LOC Kargil’ and ‘Refugee’, he also won National Award for ‘Border’. It is said that ‘Border’ is the best war film ever made in Bollywood.
His last movie ‘Umrao Jaan’ featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan didn’t impress the audience. But ‘Paltan’, is something which Dutta is a master of and it would be interesting to see him direct the movie after so long.
