Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Kaalakaandi’ teaser was released a few months ago but after that, we never heard about the movie. Meanwhile, his ‘Chef’ came, which was expected to have a decent run but completely flopped at the Box Office, the movie actually got good reviews from the critics but it released at the wrong time when Varun Dhawan’s ‘Judwaa 2’ was in its initial stage.
Well, this failure might affect Saif’s next film ‘Kaalakaandi’, there are rumours that the distributors are not giving screens to ‘Kaalakandi’ after watching the unsuccessful run of ‘Chef’. Earlier the report was that ‘Kaalakandi’ will not get a theatrical release but will only be released digitally and it will be screened on Netflix; now, if this is true, it is certainly not good for Saif, he is one of the prominent actors in Bollywood.
Saif’s last hit film was ‘Race 2’ in 2013, since then he appeared in many movies like ‘Bullet Raja’, ‘Happy Ending’, ‘Phantom’ and many more but all failed at the Box Office, ‘Chef’ was a hope for Saif because the trailer was good and it even got decent reviews, but something didn’t work for the movie.
When the producer of the movie Ashi Dua was asked about the same, she said that it’s all rumours and rumours are not true, she even said that they will get a theatrical release. Earlier, the movie was to release on 8th September, but things didn’t work out and it changed, as of now, the movie has no release date. Ashi also said that the dates in November and December are filled but they will release the movie and it has got the clearance from the Censor Board.
