Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif have sort of created history. The song Kala Chashma from Baar Baar Dekho, that has been picturised on the two stars, has crossed 200 million views on YouTube. That is incredible, but not surprising. To be honest, we all did see this coming. The song had a huge impact upon its release, and all were playing it on loop. Kala Chashma, recreated by Badshah, has beaten every song released in 2016 in terms of YouTube views. This was not the only hit song that was accredited to Sidharth’s name in 2016. The actor also had Kar Gayi Chull, from Kapoor and Sons, which became an instant chartbuster upon its release. It has, as of now, over 146 million views, despite having released before Kala Chashma. Kar Gayi Chull is also going to cross 200 million views in the coming time.
Even Katrina Kaif‘s previous sensational dance number Sheila Ki Jawani doesn’t come close to the fire that is Kala Chashma. Sheila…only has less than 70 million views, as of now. Hard to believe but that is indeed the truth. It’s been six years since Sheila arrived, and yet the song has not even managed to cross 100 million views on YouTube.
Salman Khan’s Baby Ko Bass Pasand Hai has over 112 million views! Despite Salman Khan’s presence, the song has not fared as well as Kala Chashma. But the biggest disappointment that might be is Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan starred High Heels. The song that released way before Kala Chashma and still has around 73 million views.
The only song we feel can give competition to Kala Chashma is Sunny Leone’s, Laila Main Laila. It has over 136 million views and it has not even been three months properly since it released. But in the meantime, views for Kala Chashma will also increase. Well, let us see after a couple of weeks if Laila is able to beat Kala Chashma.
