Some source website states that the channel, Sony Entertainment Television, was intending to renew its contract with the program for a Rs 106 crore deal but has chosen to pull the plug on the show. The reason behind the identical is multi-fold. Firstly, the central crew members of the show's team did not show up at the time of the shooting as a symbol of protest for Sharma's misconduct towards them. Secondly, the channel failed to bring in prominent cinema personalities to arrive as guests on the show. The purpose behind that could be the reports of Sharma's bad behavior and loss of professionalism. Thirdly, A source website reports that Prabhakar was concerned that the TRPs of the program had been constantly decreasing over the past few months. He will be back only for the next shoot on 29 March when Asgar is assumed to accompany him. A source website reports state that Asgar could not do it to the last three shots as he was unwell, but will return for the 29 March shoot. It is claimed that Sharma, in an overwhelmed state, threw a shoe at Grover who was stopping him from abusing the crew. Sharma went on to hit him frequently until the cabin crew shown up. Though Sharma apologized to Grover on Twitter, Grover replied with a rather narrow note asking Sharma to be more pleasing. Grover has reportedly quit The Kapil Sharma Show and had no intentions to return even for double the fee. A spokesperson from the channel confirmed that the program is not going off-air anytime soon. The reference said,' The show will not go off-air anytime in future.' The source also validated to a website that Raju Srivastav will not be a continual part of the program and was just a guest in one of the episodes.
