Maharashtra Government has challenged High Court decision in Supreme Court after High Court released Salman Khan from Hit and Run Case. Mumbai session court gave Salman Khan 5 years of Imprisonment in his matter, but High Court did not find him Guilty and released him from all the charges.
State government has filed an special petition (SLP) and has challenged the decision of High court. Government lawyer Nishant Katneshwarkar has shown 47 deficiencies in the petition by the High Court and has urged to continue his sentence.
State police said, 'HC has not appreciated the evidence on the records in its proper perspective.
Last year on 10th December, High court said in its decision that, during the accident, the actor was driving the car and he was also drunk. Opposition was not successful is proving this charge. High Court did not even consider Police man Ravindra Patil statement and said his statement was not true and said, Patil was the eyewitness and was with Salman Khan at the time of accident. He was proved not trustable after changing his statements lots of time.'
This hit and run case is of 28 october, 2002. One was dead in this accident and four others were badly injured.
