Review: The Director Tigmanshu Dhulia is a brilliant filmmaker and he has a knack of handling the subjects he takes up, quite efficiently. Though his last directorial venture ‘Bullet Raja’ was a disaster, however, the director has proven his mettle with ‘Haasil’ and ‘Paan Singh Tomar’. This is the first time; Tigmanshu tells us a story from the past which is based on true events of INA trials. The movie is watchable and the dialogues are very strong and impressive. But ‘Raag Desh’ as a movie is not a much thrilling as a movie. ‘Raag Desh’ which was expected to be, of the league of ‘Rang De Basanti’ and ‘The Legend of Bhagat Singh’ is actually not even close to them. The movie is good and at times very moving but the second half of the movie which has the major court room drama is too slow. The noticeable thing about the movie is its stellar star cast, Kunal Kapoor, Mohit Marwah and Amit Sadh are the main highlight of the movie. Their acting and conviction to the roles they play are outstanding and worth a watch. The music of the movie is patriotic and moving, and it does give you that burst of patriotism every time you hear it. Why To Watch: ‘Raag Desh’ is an untold story of past and tells a story of the unsung heroes. It is a good one time watch, it is a movie that tells you how important and effective role INA played in making India a free nation. ‘Raag Desh’ is an untold story of past and tells a story of the unsung heroes.
