REVIEW:- A few months ago, we saw a movie titled ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya’, well the story of ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’ is exactly that, now there are few differences in these two movies but the theme is the same, so why do we watch this film? Is there any solid reason? Well, the only reason to watch this film is Rajkummar Rao, he is just an amazing actor, who is going to be a legend in future. Now, despite having a known story, this movie works because of Rajkummar’s performance, his powerful acting barely saves the movie. Kriti Kharbanda is beautiful and whenever she comes on screen, we can’t put our eyes off her, she tries to act and she succeeds in some way but she really has to go a long way.
Now, the first half is really entertaining and moves at a fast pace but the second half is boring and you are like why am I watching this film! The never-ending climax gets on our nerves and you might sleep in that. Rajkummar and Kriti’s chemistry in this film is really good; they are the sweetest couple in the recent time, now this chemistry alone could have work for the movie but the overdramatic second half eats this film.
Rajkummar has done a lot of movies this year, from ‘Newton’ to ‘Trapped’ and he has given amazing performances in all the movies and here also he gives a good performance but this is his weakest film this year, at least, ‘Behen Hogi Teri’ with Shruti Haasan’ had some laughter moments, here there are no laughter moments. Kriti Kharbanda is a kind of actress, whom we just can’t ignore, she is beautiful and a fine actress, and she did a fine fob here in this film but again, the over dramatic script just didn’t work for the film.
Ratnaa Sinha, the director of the movie has done a fine job in the first half as mentioned but the direction is really weak in the second half, the editing is not very impressive as well. The songs in the movie are good, the two romantic songs really make you feel for the movie.
This is one of the weakest films of the year, when the trailer of the movie arrived, it looked interesting but it failed to impress the audience and it failed to even earn what ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya’ got earlier this year, this really is the slower version of ‘Badritah Ki Dulhaniya’ and you can skip this movie if you want to.
WHY TO WATCH:- Only watch this film if you are a die-hard fan of Rajkummar Rao. Kriti is beautiful in this film and if you want to see her, watch this film.
