Plot - As the tagline says ‘bromance vs romance’, the Bollywood movie Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety speaks more about friendship than it speaks about romance. As seen from his first movie onwards, Luv Ranjan keeps the sexist views in his fourth endeavor as well.
Review - Both Sonu (Kartik Aaryan) and Titu (Sunny Singh) are two inseparable friends from childhood. Sonu always comes as a savior to the rescue of Titu at times when he faces heartbreaks. He advises him to be single to avoid this kind of heartbreaks.
The story turns a bizarre love triangle when the romantic Titu falls for the charming girl Sweety (Nushrat Bharucha). Once the girl comes in, the existing equation among the ‘inseparable’ besties gets broken. Keeping the suspense around who would become the love interest of Sweety, the film revolves around a three-dimensional love story.
The actors and the characters did their best to entertain the audiences for sure. However, there are occasions where we feel that the film is lagging somewhere. Some songs and dialogues are either out of context or are not good enough to entertain.
The film does not give a valid reason as for why Sonu wanted to spoil the marriage of Titu with Sweety. Director Ranjan deserves to applaud for his light-hearted approach in countering gender stereotypes in the relationships of modern times.
The treatment of triangle love is not that interesting but visuals are appealing and entertaining. The actors too rise up to the occasions and perform excellently well to keep you entertained.
Why to Watch- Despite all shortcomings, this romantic comedy is a worth watch. The entertainer will keep you laughing till the end that too with a suspense on who would end up as the third wheel in the triangle love story.
