Actor and producer Jackky Bhagnani will soon be seen playing the main lead in a Short Film named ‘Carbon’ along with Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Prachi Desai, and Yashpal Sharma.
The first look of the upcoming short film will be unveiled on the 13th July at IIFA 2017 in New York.
Sharing about the short film, Jackky said, “Carbon deals with serious environmental issues like Global Warming & Climate Change and their impact on our world. I feel a sense of responsibility towards it being a citizen of this planet. I feel it’s time we stop talking and start doing, so this movie is my attempt at creat awareness and I’m thankful to IIFA for giving us the platform.”
Carbon has been written and directed by Maitrey Bajpai and Rameez Khan and co-produced by Deepshikha Deshmukh. The movie is set in the year 2067, where Jackky plays the role of a man with an artificial heart, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the role of a man from Mars.
Actor Nawazuddin also expresses his excitement about the project by stating, “When Jackky and the team came to me with the script, I was very thrilled with the idea of playing a guy who lives on Mars. I wished to work on a subject related to environmental issues and hence instantly agreed to be a part of it.”
