Bhansali’s Love and War Starring Ranbir, Alia, and Vicky Kaushal Set for March 2026 Release

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-anticipated film Love and War, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, has a new release date. Originally set to hit theatres during Christmas 2025, the film is now slated for release on March 20, 2026. Bhansali's team confirmed the news, shifting the highly anticipated epic saga to the new date.

Love and War marks Bhansali’s reunion with Ranbir Kapoor, who made his debut in Bhansali's Saawariya back in 2007. This will be their first collaboration in nearly two decades. Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, is teaming up with Bhansali for the second time after their critically acclaimed 2022 film Gangubai Kathiawadi. Vicky Kaushal, who has never worked with Bhansali before, will be another exciting addition to the cast.

The film, described as an epic saga, was officially announced in January 2024. The initial announcement, shared on Instagram, featured the signatures of all three lead actors. It also confirmed the film’s original Christmas 2025 release, which has now been rescheduled.

Love and War is set to begin production soon, with shooting expected to kick off in the coming months. Fans are eagerly awaiting this star-studded collaboration. Ranbir Kapoor, fresh off the success of Animal, a Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial, is excited to take on this new role. Alia Bhatt is currently preparing for the release of her next film Jigra, set for October 2024.
