After Udta Punjab, Nawazuddin Siddiqui's film 'Haramkhor' has been trapped under censor board. Board has refused to give this film a certificate.
Shlok Sharma directed film is based on love relations between 14 years old girl (Shweta Tripathi) and a teacher (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). Recently Censor Board saw tha screening, but Board refused to give this film green flag.
When asked about this Producer Guneet Monga told, Yes, They have refused to give us the certificate saying that suject of the film is Objectionable. He said they did not asked us to cut the scene, but refused to pass the film saying that this presents teacher as wrong way.'
Interesting this is that premier of the film was done in New York Film Festival, In which Nawaz was given Best actor award for the acting .
Monga said that we tried to explain board about the film but they said that subject of the film is inadmissible. The next move for the makers is to take the movie to Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT) and that is their only light of hope as of now.
Monga was asked that will he also go to court, when needed, then he said, 'I believe issue will be solved.' After so much of try, we could not contact Pehlaj Nilahani.
