Phantom Films, which has given some brilliant films such as ‘Queen’, ‘Lootera’, Ugly’, ‘Udta Punjab’ and many more in the past is planning to have another interesting project. The production company has already announced a film based on the mathematician Anand Kumar titled ‘Super 30’ starring Hrithik Roshan in the lead role and will be directed by Vikas Bahl. Now, it’s been announced that Phantom Films has got the rights of Krishna Udyashankar’s book ‘Immortal’.
Well, ‘Immortal’ is the modern take on the legendary warrior Ashwadhama, who has been given the curse of immortality by Krishna in ‘Mahabharata’, well, that’s all mythology but it would be interesting to see what Phantom makes out of it, they have always given some interesting movies and this certainly sounds interesting and there’s no doubt that when it comes out people will love to see it.
The production house is run by brilliant filmmakers like Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl and Vikramaditya Motwani, so it’s pretty clear that the movie will be a worth watch. The source close to the project revealed that adaptation of the book will not be a fantasy-fiction but it will be of quest genre, which will take our hero on an adventure across the sub-continent.
Madhu Mantena, who is one of the owners of Phantom, said that they are happy to announce the trilogy of Ashwadhama in a modern context. “The concept is something new and it is a very powerful story beautifully written by Krishna Udyashankar”, he said.
