After impressing audiences and critics with his performance in ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ the actor Rajkummar Rao will now be seen in the movie ‘Newton’. The movie was appreciated at its world premiere at the 67th Berlin International Film Festival 2017, where it also won the CICAE Art Cinema Award.
This Drishyam Films movie ‘Newton’ is now slated for a Pan-India release on September 22nd.
The movie is a black comedy produced by Manish Mundra and directed by Amit V Masurkar. The makers have today released another interesting poster from the movie which shows Rajkummar Rao sitting in a jungle holding the EVM (Electronic Voting Machine) and in it we see a grenade hanging over his head and lost guns pointing out of the bushes around him.
The movie ‘Newton’ will see Rajkummar Rao in the titular role, and apart from him, the movie has a stellar cast which also includes Anjali Patil, Pankaj Tripathi, and Raghubir Yadav. The film made its Asia premiere at the 41st Hong Kong Film Festival 2017 where it won the Jury Prize for the Best Film. ‘Newton‘s director, Amit V Masurkar in an interview shared that the movie is very close to his heart.
