Shahid Kapoor has announced his next film titled 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'. The actor took his Twitter to announce the title of his next film. Batti Gul Meter Chalu will be directed by Shree Narayan Singh, who has previously directed Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. Shahid Kapoor Tweeted a video with a beautiful caption to unveil the title. The caption reads, "Let's celebrate the festival of light with the hope that soon electricity will be a right and not a privilege for all. Batti Gul Meter Chalu," 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' is an upcoming Bollywood comedy drama film based on the real incident. The film is directed by Shree Narayan Singh and produced by T-Series and Kriarj Entertainment. Shahid Kapoor will play the lead role in the film. No further details are available as of now. Shahid Kapoor is currently all set for the release of his next film Padmavati. Padmavati is a historical drama film directed by acclaimed director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Deepika Padukone is playing the titular role of Rani Padmavati in the movie, whereas Shahid Kapoor plays Rawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh plays Sultan Alauddin Khilji. The movie is all set to release on 1st December 2017. The trailer of Padmavati has created huge anticipation among fans.
