Shahid Kapoor who recently took a break from his busy schedule to go for a vacation with his family is back and soon will resume his shoot for ‘Padmavati’ which is being helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and also stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Recently the actor was in news for the Shree Narayan Singh helmed movie ‘Roshni’, and now we have some concrete news to share with you regarding the same. According to a leading tabloid, the actor will be playing the role of a lawyer who fights against the power distribution companies in the country because of whom the consumers have to pay huge amounts in the name of electricity bills. A source close to the creative team revealed, "It's quite common for people to receive astronomical electricity bills and they don't know how to verify it. The story revolves around the problem of electricity, that's why it's tentatively called Roshni [light].” In the movie, Shahid Kapoor will play a lawyer, who raises his voice against this issue. What starts off as a single citizen's fight soon grows, as the country rallies behind him. Regarding the female lead in the movie, the source added, "There's also a parallel love story. The makers are considering a few top actresses for the role opposite him. The leading lady has a strong role too — she is his friend, who stands beside him in his trying times."
