Actress Sonam Kapoor was recently seen in the Capital to receive her first National Award. Sonam received the ‘Special Mention Award’ at the 64th National Awards for her role in the 2016 film ‘Neerja’, which was based on true life events of Neerja Bhanot. For the ceremony, she was accompanied by her father, actor Anil Kapoor, her mother Sunita Kapoor and rumored boyfriend Anand Ahuja. The actress chose to go traditional for the event, wearing a pastel green saree and heavy traditional jewellery. When the actress went up to the stage to accept her citation from President Pranab Mukherjee, Anil Kapoor was sighted clicking pictures from his mobile whereas Anand was seen clapping and cheering loudest for Sonam. They both sat next to each other throughout the event, whereas Anil was found sitting in a different row. Sonam kapoor and Anand’s relationship rumors have been floating for quite some time but they kept claiming to be ‘Good Friends’. They have been spotted together on various occasions, including a recent Kapoor family vacation in London. They were found tagging each other on social media posts and sharing picture together on Instagram. However, they never confirmed that they were dating. But now after seeing pictures at the National Award ceremony, the 31-year-old actress seems to have confirmed her relationship status. Anand Ahuja is a Delhi-based businessman, who is in fashion and apparel business. He hails from a family in the apparel biz and owns a popular brand Bhane.
