Here is the day wise box office collection report of Tiger Zinda Hai, the action thriller starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. The movie has amassed over INR 34.10 crore at the box office on opening/first day. Having released on December 22, 2017, at the pan-India level, the movie was screened over 4600 screens.
Latest reports from the top cities say that the theatres were houseful and were crowded with Salman fans. The film received reviews with mixed feelings. Well, it is not wise to make a verdict as hit or flop based on the opening day collection alone. We need to see how well the movie is performing on the weekend.
Yet, it is worth mentioning that the great opening day collection is always considered a good sign for the movie to become hits. Box office collection history till date shows that most of the movies with a good first-day collection have turned out to be either blockbusters or super hits.
Tiger Zinda Hai was produced on a budget of 150 crores (the production cost alone). When adding the promotion cost of 25 crores, the landing cost of the movie becomes 175 crores.
Co-written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Aditya Chopra produced the movie under his production house banner Yash Raj Films. This is the second installment in the Tiger film series. The first one Ek Tha Tiger (2012) had Salman – Katrina pair romancing on the screen. The first installment was directed by Kabir Khan.
We will update the box office collection on a day-to-day basis. So, keep checking out this space at regular intervals.
