Yesterday, Vidya Balan starrer ‘Tumhari Sulu’ released at the Box Office, it got decent reviews from the critics and all the actors were appreciated for their performance. Now, earlier the movie was to release on 1st December with ‘Padmavati’, but then it got changed and finally it released yesterday, and it was the right call by the makers of the movie to change the release date, as it would stand nowhere in front of much awaited ‘Tumhari Sulu’.
The fact that no big movie released with ‘Tumhari Sulu’ really helped the movie at the Box Office, the first-day collection of the movie was 2.87 crores, which is quite good for a movie like this again, there was no hype, no promotional strategy, nothing, but still, it managed to collect . 2.87 crores is a good thing. It was released on 800-900 screens, which is not a very big number but Vidya’s performance made the fans to watch this film.
We don’t know that’s the verdict of this film will be, we don’t know whether this will be a hit or flop but till now it is going good, let’s see what happens in the future, it is expected to grow on the second and the third day, the second day collection might go up to 3 crores and the third, which is Sunday, the movie might go with 3-3.5 crores, and it is a good number for this film.
The movie has time to grow as there’s no big movie in line to release this month, next week, we have Kapil Sharma starrer ‘Firangi’ and Sanjay Mishra’s ‘Kadvi Hawa’ to release, which are again small budget films and not much is expected out of it and that will really help ‘Tumhari Sulu’.
The next big thing at the Box Office will be ‘Padmavati’, which release on 1st December.
