Amazon Prime Video Announces Digital Premiere of 9 Indian Films
A spanking new list of nine much awaited movies have been announced by the digital giant, Amazon Prime Video. The digital premiere of nine Indian movies directly on the OTT platform have been declared, leaving fans in anticipation of the upcoming movies. The nine upcoming Indian movies interestingly happen to ranging over five Indian languages including Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. The movies all set to make it to the giant platform include: Coolie No. 1, Chhalaang, Durgavati, Bheema Sena Nala Maharaja, Manne Number 13, Middle Class Melodies, Maara, Soorarai Pottru and Zakariya Mohammed’s Halal Love Story. Out of these nine movies, Coolie No. 1, Chhalaang and Durgavati will premiere in Hindi, while Bheema Sena Nala Maharaja and Manne Number 13 will premiere in Kannada, Middle Class Melodies in Telugu, Maara and Soorarai Pottru in Tamil, Halal Love Story in Malayalam.
Bollywood movies Coolie No. 1, Chhalaang and Durgavati are scheduled to make it to the OTT platform in the months of November and December, 2020. Coolie No. 1 starring Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan in prominent roles is scheduled to premiere on the occasion of Christmas, on 25 December, 2020. Chhalaang starring Rajkummar Rao and Nushrat Bharucha will premiere on 13 November, 2020 while Bhumi Pednekar's Durgavati is scheduled to premiere on 11 December, 2020. The other six movies are also scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video in the months of October, November and December, 2020.
The nine movies will have a digital premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in more than 200 countries all across the world. While the movies were initially rooting for a theatrical release, the makers of the movies decided to release them worldwide on a digital OTT platform amid the current pandemic. The announcement made by Amazon Prime Video came as a big surprise for fans looking forward for new movies as a source of entertainment amid the current scenario.
