Upcoming movie Shorgul, which is based on sensitive issues such as Muzaffarnagar, Godhra and post-Babri Masjid demolition riots, has been passed by Censor Board. Film has got U/A Certificate. CEO 24FPS Films Production, said in a statement, 'We are happy that censor board gave us a U/A certificate and this can reach the masses'.
The film is based on Uttar Pradesh, which shows political scams of controversial high-profile politicians. Film is directed by Jitendra Tiwari and Prashant V Singh.
Jimmy Shergill, Hiten Tejwani, Eijaz Khan, Ashutosh Rana and Sanjay Suri are in lead role in this film.
Jimmy plays a character of BJP lawmaker Sangeet Som, Sanjay plays Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Narendra Jha plays state minister Azam Khan, the characters also have almost the same names like being called Ranjit Soam, Mithilesh Yadav, and Aalim Khan.
Film is releasing on 24th June.
