Film studio setting and Allied Workers Union has asked to compensate the family of Painter who lost his life on the set of 'Padmavati' last week.
Union General Secretary Gangeshwarlal Srivastava said that we will soon send a notice to the producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali and will ask him to compensate the family.
Gangehwarlal said that Sanjay Leela Bhansali should give the compensation to his family soon. Along with this, we have said to the officers of Film City not to give permission of shooting or set production without safety measures.'
He said, 'We have asked then to provide at least one Ambulance or have asked to provide a place where we can give facilities to our union.'
This incident happened on the set of Padmavati in Goregaon on 23 December. Gangeshwar said, 'These days Producers and Director spends lots of money but never pay attention to hardworking workers. These safety measures should not only be applicable to stars, but the entire unit connected to the particular film.'
Painter Mukesh Dutt got an injury on his head and he died in the hospital. A complaint has been filed in his case and the investigation is going on.
During this, 'Padmavati' lead actress Deepika Padukone has expressed her sorrow over the death of the painter. In her tweet she wrote, 'I'm shocked with this news. May his soul rest in peace and my sympathy is with his family.'
Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh will be seen playing important roles in this film.
