Yashraj Films have bagged the Overseas distribution rights–excluding the Middle East and North Africa–of Salman Khan-starrer Tubelight. The much-awaited flick is set to hit the theatres during the festival of Eid. The movie is directed by the renowned director Kabir Khan.
YRF confirmed the news of becoming the overseas distributor of the movie through their International Operation's Vice President Avtar Panesar, who said: "This is the first time Salman Khan Films and YRF are working together. Salman Khan guarantees Box Office success and it is growing with every movie." he also further added, "Salman and Kabir are working together for the third time. Previously they united for Ek tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijan and this time the dream team will unite for Tubelight."
The duo of Salman-Kabir managed highest grossing SK Films with Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and the pact with YRF is a signal that they are willing to go further than their set benchmark from the previous project.
The movie also features Sallu's brother Sohail Khan and Chinese actor Zhu Zhu, who is making her Bollywood debut. The movie is a love story, set-up during the Indo-China War. The teaser and trailer of the movie are scheduled to be out in April-May and the release date collides with Sunny Deol's Bhayyaji Superhit.
